We are organizing an"out and back" ride to get you ready for the 2021 Iceman Cometh Race
This will give riders an opportunity to learn the course and set your strategy
...yes, finishing is a strategy.
The ride will be lead by William "Bill" Gehringer.
Sunday October 17th (10:am roll out from Timber Ridge)
**We may have additional rides on the 23rd and 30th, but as of now they are tbd.
(MSB is on Saturday Oct.9th http://www.mudsweatandbeers.com/)
Riders meet at Timber Ridge (park in the dirt area to the left of the entrance)
Roll out at 10:am get there early to make sure you have everything you need and your bike is ready to roll.
If you only want to ride the course from Kalkaska meet us at the Kalkaska Airport at approximately 11:am
These rides are not for time. We will not be setting any new Strava records or trying to outrace each other but the pace will be moderate, approximately 10-13mph.
The idea is to learn the course and check in with yourself for an approximate 45mile ride.
We want to start together and end together, leaving something at the end to finish strong
Bring plenty of hydration and some type of nutrition that you can consume while riding.
Check the weather the night before and dress accordingly
Suggestion "start cold" you will warm up and perspire so hydration and not overheating is important.
Again check the weather the night before.
